In its original configuration, the DLW S&U lines crossed the D&H here at a location called BX and went to East Binghamton yard, which today is used by CP. The D&H Bevier St yard was(is) to the left out of the photo, It commected here to the DLW and the Erie, with the line to their passenger station and the Erie yard crossing the DLW line. Were looking south on the Lackawanna at a CP train coming up the old DLW, and heading onto the D&H in a reworking of the junction, now all switches with the diamond long removed. The signals guarded the BX crossing, but have been out of service for a long tiime by the date of this photo. |
