The ACL freight station, along with the SAL depot beside it, is now a museum in Live Oak, FL. The ACL station also served the Live Oak Perry & Gulf as well. I stopped by this museum and went inside, the last time I had come by it was closed and Ive wanted to visit ever since that day, it was 11am. The museum had opened at 10am, but it was dark inside. There was a elderly man and woman sitting inside. I asked if the museum was open, since it was so dark inside, he said yes. The lady at the time was on the phone. I asked if there was a fee, he said no. I then proceeded to take a picture of an old crossbuck, the lady got off the phone and told me that I could not take pictures. She then told me I had to delete the picture. She then as she is walking towards us, asks did I delete the picture. The whole time I might add she was being quite rude, she then proceeds to tell me I had to put my camera in the car and then I could come back inside. I then told her that we would be leaving, as I turned to the door, she is then following us telling us we do not have to leave. I stated to her we were leaving. I would not recommend going to this museum. Its a shame, I really wanted to look around, but I will not step foot back on that property. |
