Built by Alco-Brooks in 1912, the engine sits on this snowy January, 1936 day cold and no steam. Specifics - class G-2, 58" drivers, 25x30" cylinders, 200 psi boiler pressure, 54,957 lb tractive effort, 231,000 lb engine weight. It lasted the longest of the Ann Arbor 2-8-0's - finally being scrapped in October, 1946 after operating throughout WW II. No photographer listed.
