Although the date and location are not marked on the print, it appears to be the Downers Grove, Illinois commuter yard. The February 1, 1952 CB&Q Locomotive Assignment Sheet indicates number 2833 assigned to the Chicago Division. Number 2833 was built by Alco (Schenectady) in 1907 (c/n 43478) as a Class S-1, rebuilt in 1927 to Class S-1-A, sold for scrap in October 1953. |
