WATC 59
Sitting at the end of the SRNJ Salem Branch, this Alco has definitely seen better days. Built in 1948 for the Washington Terminal Company, it saw switching duties in Washington Union Station for both WATC and Amtrak until sale to the Tioga Transportation Museum of Flemingville, NY in 1986. The museum became the Tioga Central Railroad a year later to operate freight and passenger service on the ex LV branch out of Owego with 59 seeing brief useage before coming under private ownership and moving to the West Shore Railroad of Mifflinberg, PA in 1989. Changing hands once again, it was moved to the SRNJ in the 1990s.
