Here is a blurry picture of the 1923 Alco-Richmond built USRA "heavy Mountain-type" locomotive delivered to the C&O in 1923. Alco-Richmond, 1923 Specifics - J-2, 69" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 26x30" cylinders, engine weight of 363,550 lb, tractive effort of 57,948 lb. The 7 locos in the class were retired in 1952. Taken by an unknown photographer.
