IC 9625
CN local momentarily fouls Washington St. in order to service U.S. Paper Mills Corp. at Menasha, WI on 11 Oct. '15. This mill began production in 1891 as the John Strange Paper Co. It was purchased by Menasha Corp. in 1969 and renamed John Strange Paperboard Div. It was sold to U.S. Papers Corp. in 1981. It was sold to Sonoco ca. 2002. The dark tan brick structure rising behind the paper mill is the stage house of the Brin Theater, which will hopefully see restoration someday. I am pretty sure it is the last surviving classic theater in the Fox Cities.
