| Chicago Burlington & Quincy Railroad 4-8-4 Class O-5-B 5629 at Golden, Colorado on August 26, 1965, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Number 5629 was assembled by the CB&Q at West Burlington, Iowa, completed in June 1940 as a Class O-5-A ( coal burner ), converted to Class O-5-B ( oil burner ). Also converted were 5614, 5620, 5626, 5627 and 5632. Number 5629 was retired and donated to the Intermountain Chapter of the National Railway Historical Society on August 30, 1963, eventually donated to the Colorado Railroad Museum where it is pictured. |
