Everyday. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, on 03 July 1965. Shown here is PRR engine #9423, an ES-6 built by EMD in 1950 and rated at 600 horsepower. It is pulling the five-car Roaring Spring Local through Hollidaysburg to the Altoona Yards with caboose #477094. Looks like the head-end brakeman's enjoying the breeze on a steamy July afternoon. This photo was taken between the Bedford and Jackson Street crossings, in between Broad and Wall Streets. |
