C&O 1308, engineer's side view  Contributor's Pick!
C&O 1308 has been on display at a park in Huntington, WV for about as long as i can remember. Still in relatively good condition considering being left outdoors for over 50 years, the engine is a reminder of C&O's presence in Huntington and many other places as well. Note the donated B&O CPL (color-position signal), salvaged, perhaps, from the abandonment of the B&O's ex-Ohio River Railroad line from Huntington to Kenova, WV around 1965. It was raining on this day in June 1992 (I don't remember which day), so I got out of Dad's car, grabbed the photos, and left!
