| Newark. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train near Newark, Delaware, during August of 1965. Shown here is PRR engine #4935, a GG-1 built in Juniata during March of 1943. It has just departed Wilmington on its way South to Baltimore and Washington with an 11-car passenger train. The white milepost indicates that it is 35 miles by rail to Philadelphia. #4935 is now on exhibit at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania is Strasburg, Pennsylvania. |
