Both of these locomotives are of EMD heritage with 42105 built in the mid 1960s and the CLP being built in the early 1970s as a CL Class. It was remanufactured by Morisson Knudsen Australia in the early 1990s The CLP belonged to 2 government railway systems being the federal governments Commonwealth Railways/Australian National & Queensland Railways when the Queensland government wanted to expand operations "south of the border." 42105 is adorned in its "colourful" Northern Rivers Railroad paint scheme, this company was based in Casino in northern NSW. Both ended up with QR National/Aurizon. |
