MNCR. Here is an original photo that I took of Metro-North Commuter Railroad trains in Larchmont, New York, on 15 July 1985. Shown here are two Metro-North commuter trains which look like they are neck 'n' neck, so to speak. The train on the left has just departed the Larchmont Station and so is travelling about 20 miles per hour, while the train on the right is an express and is travelling about 70 miles per hour. Note the third headlight in the distance! Also visible is the Chatsworth Avenue Bridge, which spans both the railroad tracks and Interstate Highway 95 (on the left). |
