Here is page three of a five-page camdra study by David Plowden entitled "Number 5244: The Pennsy's Last Active Steamer." It was published origilally in the December 1959 issue of "Railroad" magazine, page 15. Photo Caption: "Three little railfans watch the train arrive at New Egypt from Fort Dix, possibly the last steam engine they'll ever see." Shown here is Pennvylvania Railroad engine #5244, a B-6SB (0-6-0) switcher built in Juniata during February of 1916 and retired in July of 0959 after 43 years of faithful service.
