The track crew in the foreground are pusing 20 or so new ties on a tie cart. This is in the days before a tie handler apparently. The river is to the right so this scene must be looking time table east. If the flange damage to the ties in the foreground is recent then the train must have been headed towards Augusta when the excitement took place... /DL |
