The rear DPU locomotive on empty KCS Martin Lake coal train CSHKC27 slips out of Arkansas and into Oklahoma as it rolls northward down Rich Mountain. At Kansas City, MO this train will be handed off to the BNSF and will operate to the Coal Creek Mine in the Wyoming Powder River Basin as BNSF train E-MLMCKM0-08. Seen here on Rich Mountain the train is powered up in a 3x1 DPU configuration with 133 empty coal cars. BNSF ES44AC 6256, KCS SD70MAC 3906,and KCS SD70ACe 4045 are on the head end and KCS ES44AC 4784 is the lone rear DPU locomotive. |
