Photo Caption: "Wearing Amtrak digits and PC paint, GG1 907 takes a Philadelphia-bound Amtrak 'clocker' past new fill and catenary poles at Elizabeth, N.J. The construction will allow better superelevation of track and thus ease (but not eliminate) a speed-restricting reverse curve." Amtrak engine #907 was built by the Pennsylvania Railroad in Juniata during June of 1940 and originally numbered "4906." |
