Built by GE in the fall of 1987 as one of a fleet that would eventually total 102 units, this locomotive was originally part of the LMX leasing fleet owned by General Electric. Later purchased by Iowa Pacific and first operated on the San Luis & Rio Grande of Colorado, the locomotive would be painted D&H style and moved east for the startup of SNC operations in 2011. Originally intended to be primarily a freight unit, it has seen quite a bit of use on the passenger side of the railroad. It was sold off near the end of 2016 and today operates on the Huntsville & Madison County Railroad Authority down in Alabama. |
