Here is page one of a three-page article by Raymond P. Delano, Jr., entitled "How Half A Locomotive Ran Away." It was published originally in the Winter 2003 issue of "Keystone" magazine, page 52. Photo Caption: "T-1 #6110 and train at Altoona [Passenger Station]; the engine was just delivered from Baldwin in the spring of 1942. Photo by Leonard Shuffstall." Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6110, a T-1 (4-4-4-4) "Duplex" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during April of 1942 and retired in December of 1953 after just 11 years of service.
