| A CN stack train heads north at Oshkosh. The train is approaching a bridge over a ditch/creek that empties into Lake Winnebago. This former C&NW line had a great deal more local business to attend to 30 years ago, but under the CN train volume has increased significantly. The local customer base has diminished but the CN has transformed this line into part of its trans-con line to Chicago and beyond. Through freight volume can be quite high with trains following as close as 5 to 10 minutes apart at times. |
