The depot was once the Northern Division headdquarters of the IC until 1894 and controlled the movement of trains over 345 mile stretch with 53 individual stations. The headquarters included a rail yard as seen to the right in the photo as well as locomotive repair and maintenance shops. The depot now stands alone, devoid of any tracks running through the town. |
