Here is another example of a Chicago Great Western shops rebuild. This started as a 2-6-2 but converted in 1926. Specs - 69" drivers, 180 psi boiler pressure and an unimpressive 27,904 lb tractive effort. Scrapped in September of 1950. No date, location or photographer listed for this older photo copy but the coaling tower in the background appears to be from Olewein, IA. |
