Photo Caption: "EMD F-7 #9817 sporting an extra-large 'Keystone' on the nose door back in the summer of 1964." Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9817 and another "EF" Class A-unit whose road number is not recorded. Both were built by GM-EMD and rated at 1,500 horsepower each. #9817 is an EF-15A constructed in May of 1951. The exact date and the location are not recorded. |
