Byerly. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Fred Byerly that was taken in Enola, Pennsylvania, on 1 July 1962. The photographer is not identified. Photo Caption: "Alco FA-1 #9605, 1500-hp, at Enola, Pa." Shown here are Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9605 and several other units whose numbers are not recorded. #9605 is an AF-15 built by the American Locomotive Company in March of 1950, rated at 1,500 horsepower, and retired in May of 1965 after just 15 years of revenue service.
