TRB. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide by an unidentified photographer that was taken near Rockville, Pennsylvania, c. 1957. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6738, an M-1B (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as an M-1A during July of 1930, rebuilt in Juniata as an M-1B in October of 1948, and retired in September of 1959 after 29 years of faithful service. It's crossing the Rockville Bridge with a mixed-cargo freight train out of Enola on its way to Renovo and points North. |
