CO 0-8-0 #79 - Chesapeake & Ohio
Originally built as Hocking Valley #109 by Lima Locomotive Works in 1926, it now sits in a scrap line awaiting the scrapper's torch in an unidentified yard. No exact date was given but most were scrapped between 1950-53. R.D. Patton photo. With Jonathan Spurlock's help (see comment below), I agree that the location probably is Richmond so have changed it accordingly. Thanks again, Jonathan!

Rev. Jonathan Spurlock General This could be Richmond, VA. Here's a link to another site which shows, in color, a number of C&O steamers that met literally the end of the line: http://members.trainorders.com/varailfan/abandoned/retired_steamers.html 3/22/2019 8:00:09 PM
