| A CN unit train of autoracks overtakes a local along Union St. at the former Adams St. grade crossing at the north end of the former SOO yard at Neenah, WI on 18 Jan. '20. Unit train had two locomotives, CN 2879 pulling and CN 3183 mid-train. Local was preparing to head for Appleton, Little Chute, and Kaukauna and had two locomotives, IC 9602 and IC 3129. The guard rail in the foreground denotes the former Caroline St. grade crossing. The area between the tracks and Union St., from Main St. to Monroe St., used to be the yard. I don't know when the current, significantly larger yard (extending southwestward from Winneconne Ave.) was built, but a map from 1909 shows the yard still here.
