PRR 8501, ES-15MS, 1963
Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide by an unidentified photographer that was taken in Chicago, Illinois, during June of 1963. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #8501, an ES-15MS built by GM-EMD August of 1952 and rated at 1,500 horsepower. In this context, it's pulling a four-coach commuter train out of Chicago's Union Station. ("Tchowee"; #28 of 29)
