Camden. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide via Al Chione that was taken in Camden, New Jersey, on 24 June 1957. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5351, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during March of 1924 and retired in April of 1958 after 34 years of faithful service. It was the last PRR steam locomotive to pull a regularly-scheduled passenger run: Pemberton to Camden on Tuesday, 12 November 1957. The names of the photographer and the two railroaders at the left are not recorded. ("Stoneborobranch"; #55 of 69) |
