It's not possible to see much detail of UP's ex-C&NW South Janesville Yard from the ground, but from the satellite view one can see there's a loop track on the west end which has a spur off it to serve Seneca Foods; crosses over one of the yard leads on a diamond, used to form one leg of a wye (the other leg is stubbed off, with the switch removed) and encircles a few stub-ended RIP tracks which pass through the area where the roundhouse and turntable used to be. Chase of this train continues in the album "UP Harvard Subdivision State Line-S. Janesville." |
