PRR 6783, M-1B, 1956         
Price. Here is a photo by Bill Price that was taken near Newport, Pennsylvania, on 11 October 1956. Caption On Reverse: "PG-5." Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6784, an M-1B (4-8-2) "Mountain" built by the Lima Locomotive Works as an M-1A during March of 1930, rebuilt in Juniata as an M-1B in January of 1947, and retired in August of 1959 after 29 years of faithful service. Note that the second "car" in this train is actually a GM-EMD "EF" Class B-unit! (Gift from Brad Mann.)
