Electric Action. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by William P. Nixon that was taken in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, in September of 1962. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #4772 and #9412. #4772 is a P-5A (2-C-2) electric built by General Electric in November of 1932, rated at 3,750 horsepower, and retired in October of 1962. #9412 is an ES-6 switcher built by GM-END in October of 1950 and rated at 600 horsepower. Not a happy scene! ("PrrFan18n") |
