Everyday. Here is an original 35mm color slide by Kenneth Lehman that was taken in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, on 10 April 1987. Shown here is Conrail engine #8604, an SW8 built by GM-EMD for the New York Central as number "9604" in February of 1952, rated at 800 horsepower, and renumbered "8604" in preparation for the NYC-PRR merger. Partially visible in the background is the Hollidaysburg Car Shop, built in 1955 by the Pennsylvania Railroad and christened the "Samuel Rea Shop." |
