Kepner and the conductor is Mr. W.L. Walzer. They're on Train #29, the Chicago-bound "Broadway Limited" that's about to depart from Pennsylvania Station in New York City. The locomotive is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4829, a GG-1 (2-C-C--2) built in Juniata during June of 1935, rated at 4,620 horsepower, and retired in April of 1968 after 33 years of faithful service.
