Built by Lima Locomotive Works in July of 1924 as CCC & St L #218 (serial #6819, class H-10b), the loco was renumbered NYC 2318 in 1936 and again in August of 1948 as NYC #2076. It lasted on the roster unti retirment in February of 1952. In March of 1952, it was sold for scrap. Specs - 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 28x30" cylinders, engine weight of 337,000, tractive effort of 63,470 lb with a booster adding 11,000 lb more. Ralph H. Payne photo |
