| AHC. Here is an image of a photo by Milton A. Davis that was taken at the Horseshoe Curve near Altoona, Pennsylvania, in 1941. At the left, an unidentified Pennsylvania Railroad I-1SA (2-10-0) "Decapod" and a mixed-cargo freight train are about to enter the Curve on their way up the Allegheny Mountains to Gallitzin and points Wdst. At the right, another freight train drifts down "The Mountain" on its way to Altoona and points East. Note the Brakeman riding atop one of the boxcars just ahead of the cabin car! William E.
