Built by ALCo-Brooks in July of 1917 as Wabash 2-10-2 #2518 (serial # 57570), it was sent to the Georgia Car & Loco Company who brokered a sale to the Chicago & Illinois Midland on 2/12/1942. The loco lasted on the CIM roster until retirement and scrapping in October of 1954. Specs - G-4 class, 64" drivers, 210 psi boiler pressure, 29x32" cylinders, engine weight of 395,000 lb, tractive effort of 75,079 lb. This is an Arthur B. Johnson photo. |
