Photo Caption: "This was a view from the rear of a westbound train leaving Altoona, looking back to the train shed in 1895. To the right were the freight tracks and part of the early Altoona Works. A few early tenders and cars were outside of the shops. The buildings on the left were on Tenth Avenue." Partially visible at the far right is the Eastern/Middle Division Roundhouse.
