A crew still occupied the cab of 1166, and its ditch lights were left on, as it trailed the move from Clinton to Janesville. Although it no longer wears the paint scheme as 1158 on the other end of the train still does, it too is an ex-St. Louis Southwestern (Cotton Belt) GP60. It was built as the SSW 9673 which, coincidentally, is pictured on the Wikipedia articles for the SSW Railway and for the GP60 itself. |
