The 2005 looks like one of those Milwaukee-rebuilt "GP20"s like the City of Prineville and Lycoming Valley have. The 2000 sure looks like a GP16 but with single 48" fans, instead of the dual-36" fans. They aren't IC GP10s though.

The 2005 is a GP20 (ex-CC 974), the 2000 is a GP16u (ex-CSXT 1801; ex-SBD 4755; ex-SCL 4755; ex-SCL 980; nee SAL 1800

What exactly is a GP16u? What mods do these have that gives them the 'u' designation?

To answer Eric's question 2000 and 2001 were GP16's but Tacoma Rail rebuilt them with the sinle 48"fans, so they listed them as GP16u on their roster.
