Originally built by Alco-Brooks in May of 1919 as Buffalo, Rochester & Pittsburgh 2-6-6-2 Mallet Mogul #739 (serial #58492), it was absorbed into the B&O roster in 1932 and renumbered B&O 7539 with a new classification as KK-4c. The loco served the heavy coal hauling service for nearly 34 years before finally being sold for scrap in March of 1952.
