| The Rock Island had a double deck swing bridge to cross the mississippi in Cottage Grove, trains on top deck, cars on lower deck. Part remains preserved today. Used by passenger trains and Rock freights. The swing span now removed was to the left of photo. I have photo of a freight in 1975 crossing the top level. |
