Built by ALCO-Brooks in October of 1907, it originally carried the CM&StP #1904. In 1912, it was renumbered CMStP #5004 and again as CMStPP (MILW) #5004. Finally in 1938, it was renumbered one more time to MILW #901. After nearly 46 years of service the loco was retired and scrapped in February of 1953. Specs - 63" drivers, 185 psi boiler pressure, 21 1/2x 28" cylinders, engine wt of 209,000 lb, tractive effort of 32,310 lb. Arthur B. Johnson photo |
