| Built by Baldwin in October of 1920 as MILW 2-8-2 Mikado #8224, it was later renumbered in June of 1938 to MILW 524. The loco was retired in July of 1953 after almost 33 years of service. This sad photo is it waiting for the scrapper's torch to do its work.Specs - 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 26x30" cylinders, engine wt of 287,600 lb, tractive effort of 54,723 lb.
