MILW 2-8-2 #326         
Stripped of its light, bell and tender, MILW 2-8-2 #326 now sits awaiting the scrapper's torch in the Bensenville yard. Built by Alco-Brooks in September of 1918 originally as CM&StP 8617, it was renumbered in 1938 to MILW 326. After nearly 35 years of faithful service, it was retired in June of 1953 and scrapped. Specs - L3 class, 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 27x32" cylinders, engine wt of 320,000 lb and tractive effort of 62,949 lb. This is a Guhr photo.
