Normally, the bottom GP30 would be plenty to get excited about. But, that second unit, which I'm guessing is an FP7 (can't make out number -680?- or see trucks), makes this an all-time classic!!!

Is this railroad still here? So many were abandoned in central Florida after the SCL was created in 1967.

The railroad doesn't go to Trilby any more. The tracks turn NE at Owensboro just south of Trilby.

In the early 1980s, CSX began to look for ways of reducing the trackage all over the system. This line was busy with Trains right up to the very end. The line was abandoned early in 1987 when all traffic was shifted to the nearby former SAL route. Both lines joined at Owensboro so CSX routed all traffic to the old SAL. A few years later this route was converted into the Withlacoochee Trail and runs some 40 miles or so from Owensboro to just south of Dunnellon.
