William Grimes General This is a GP7L first built for the US Army and then bought by Alaska Railroad. 4/14/2007 8:59:20 AM
Ken Roble General This was RI's Sub Division 18 on the Missouri-Kansas Division. Eldon, MO was the division point which it changed to Sub Division 19 to Kansas City, MO. Its too bad the Cotton Belt never operated the line as a thru route. But I guess the line was too bad of shape by then to try and repair it. 6/20/2008 11:09:02 PM
Fred Stuckmann General Sweet picture. 6/9/2009 9:21:20 PM
Jim Dodds General Great shot. I never seem to get to see a train out there. I know they only come through once or twice a day, but we stayed at Creve Couer Park from 3:00 in the afternoon all of the way through 5:30 in the afternoon and saw nothing. It's too bad I live in the metro east, because I'll probably never get the chance. I lived in Chesterfield until I was almost 5 (in the year 200), and then moved to Naperville, IL when I turned 5 (in 2000), and now I live in Edwarsville, Illinois as of 2002. I'm 14 as of July 7 2009. That line has a special place in my heart, because when I was 3 years old, the first 2 trains that I ever remember seeing were on that line...I haven't seen a train on that line since 1998 when I lived there...:( the cool thing is that one of the two trains that I saw when I lived near here was taken right at this location :) 11/22/2009 12:41:14 AM
