Jim Bruce General 2526 is a GP30R. unit was Wrecked in 1965 and as GP35s were still being made it was given a GP35 Carbody. this unit also went on to be painted for NS and was Retired in september 1990 and sold to Naporanos at Newark,New Jersey in 1991. 8/11/2008 1:53:26 PM
Dorian Cooling General Is 2646 a GP35 with type 2 trucks? And if so who put them on? I don't think EMD had those trucks as an option. 3/6/2010 9:00:34 AM
Marty Bernard General Trucks probably from an Alco trade-in. 3/6/2010 9:06:15 AM
David Farmer General Good information from Jim Bruce. I believe SOU had some GP35's with trade in Alco trucks also though -- correct me if I'm wrong. 9/12/2014 3:54:58 PM
David Farmer General I was mixing up the 2 lead units. Cancel my previous comment. 9/12/2014 3:59:58 PM
Ethan Button General fun fact. All of the Southern GP35s had the type A trucks except for the CG and 2703. I guess you could lump 2526 into that number as well. 12/16/2019 10:31:10 AM
