William Grimes General This was never at Fort Eustis, Virgil is thinking of USAX 1811, which is still there. This is nolonger the Eastern Shore Railroad, it is Bay Coast (BCR). 6/19/2007 2:57:09 PM
Virgil Fitzpatrick General I can dispute that, I vividly remember this motor from my youth. If I could only find the pictures I took back when I was 9 I'd show you Will. 6/19/2007 4:52:11 PM
William Grimes General Well Virgil I didn't know that comment retained to you childhood. You could be right, but this is an Alco (which was uncommon power for Fort Eustis) they mainly delt with the EMD model and that is why I made that assumption. Although this engine (and other equipment) is lettered as Eastern Shore that railroad is defunct and now operates as Bay Coast. The company has not had the time and money to change every thing yet. All ESHR equipment photographed after February 2006 should be listed as BCR. 6/20/2007 4:00:40 PM
