The Shreveport Rescue Mission moved downtown earlier this year. One way to get to the Mission from downtjwn involves cutting across three railroad tracks. The gentleman under the boxcar ladder was literally stuck - he had a lot of trouble getting out. The man looking to his left was looking at an approaching freight train. I'm not a big fan of the Rescue Mission's move (and most of the cops that have this beat tell me the same thing). I've seen toddlers playing on the tracks while parents watch, parents watching theirkids throw ballast rocks and trains and businesses nearby, and many patrons cutting through parked trains. |
